As a member of EuPC’s Building & Construction Division, CEFEP remains closely connected to developments across the European plastics-converting value chain. EuPC is the professional representative body of plastics converters in Europe, covering all sectors of the industry, including building and construction. Through this network, CEFEP receives regular updates on political and regulatory initiatives that are relevant to flexible elastomeric and polyethylene foam insulation materials.

This ongoing exchange enables CEFEP to follow key EU policy files – such as raw-material legislation, microplastics restriction, and emerging requirements on recyclability and circularity – and to support its members in meeting current and upcoming compliance obligations. Active participation also strengthens dialogue with other stakeholders in the plastics industry and ensures that the specific needs of technical insulation manufacturers are reflected in broader discussions on regulation and sustainability.
